Meaning:
line 1: The watertanks in the paddy fields of Thiruchendoor were destroyed by the 'ChEl' fish. What is implied here is that the fertile fields of Thiruchendoor abound in fish population. It is 'vancha pukazhchi aNi'.

line2: The minds of the slender-waisted women were destroyed by the love of the honey-sweet flowers of 'Kadambu'. The implication is that women are enchanted by the beauty of Muruga wearing the 'Kadambu' garland which is the favourite of Lord Muruga. This is 'transferred epithet'

line 3: The ocean, 'Krouncha' hill and shoorapadman were destroyed by the 'vEl' (spear) of the one with the powerful peacock (Muruga)

line 4: My fate (what brahma wrote on my head) was destroyed by His feet. Implies that since I havetaken refuge on his charaNam whatever fate was destined for me by Brahma will be erased and I will have nothing but the grace of Muruga.
