Summary

kOdanDapAni is well situated in the court and appears ready to be attended, which was rare for even brahma, saraswati, rukmiNi, pArvati, sIta and lakshmaNa. Therefore, I would wake up early in the morning and offer him milk to appease his hunger while singing the virtues of lord SrIkara, who is like chintAmaNi (the one that grants boons to everybody). Also, please listen! Without forgetting, I would bathe him in fragrant waters in the afternoon and offer him a delicious meal along with sweet betel leaves and nut powder to the lord. In the evening, I would join the other learned men (bhAgavatas) illuminate the court with the lamps while singing songs in rare and melodious rAgAms and allow him to lie down on the floral bed and pat srIhari to sleep. Next morning, I will wake him up for services again, who will be pleasant to tyAgarAja.
