Meaning:
O NArAyaNa! Hari! One who causes all animate beings to act. I do not rely on wealthy such as money and horses. I certainly do not beg rich men by surrendering to them and singing their praises. I belong to the kingdom of your proximity, where greedy men possessed by the devils of desier and attachment are ordered about. Though I am caught in your grip, I do not know why you persist in your niggardliness. People in this world cannot stand the sight of others prospering - though it is unknown whether this is due to their own fate or your MAya. They resort to despicable actions but never apply their minds to tasks which will uplift them. Why associate with people who do not realize that everything happens in this world according to one's own past deeds? Reliever from evils, O Enemy of those who accuse others, embodiment of virtue. One worshipped by VibhIshana! Vouchsafe that your holy name may always be on my lips. Who else is there for me? O Hero of the solar race. I always seek the company of those who delight in the glorious story of SrI RAma. O one worshipped by Indra. The one with GaruDa as a vehicle. One who resides in the hearts of worthy poets. Protector of the hapless. Enemy of demons. Let my eyes be fixed upon your refined beauty and my heart transported with joy.
