mudugu aNaiyil vaittu - placing it on his cushion-like back,

enakkut tandAl - If you give me
tUkkiya poTrALai - the (other) lifted foot,
talai sumakkum - my head will bear it.
sumakkum pOdum - When i bear it,
pOdum pOdum - that's sufficient (I need nothing else).
