Other information: Correction by Dhananjay Naniwadekar, who writes: It is not cintayEham चिन्तयेSहम् , but चिन्तयेयम् cintayEyam. Both are valid but Annamaachaarya has used the later form, and the difference is subtle. chintayE + aham.h = चिन्तयेSहम् / चिन्तयेहम् cintayEham = present tense. I like Balagopaal, hence I think of (worship) his feet (tatpadaM). Perfectly valid, but this is not what was said by the poet. Now, chintayeyam is उत्तम-पुरुष एक-वचन aham-purusha Eka-vacana (first person singular) form of the verb in विधिलिङ्ग vidhiliNga mode which has no perfect English equivalent. It sort of indicates desire. I like him (भावयामि, bhAvayAmi, present tense), so may his feet (तत्पदं tatpadam) be the object of my thoughts.
