Meaning:
O SIta RAma! Why this undue delay to protect me? O Treasure of virtues! Abode of mercy! Like birds flying hither and thither seeking the haven of a tree to perch, I have been wandering high and low seeking you and your grace, to terminate the cycle of birth and death. Why this delay to protect me? As among all types of charity, the highest and most reputed on is sacrifice - TyAga - so also among deities, which bestow small favors, you are the best. Barring you, who else can protect me? Day in and day out roaming about feverishly and finding no way out, I have come seeking shelter at your feet, surrendering my body and my possessions, as they really belong only to you. My favorite God! Is it difficult for you to grant my prayer? To grant this TyAgarAja's desires, why this delay?
